Official Speed Cloth Interior Thread

Hopefully this will make things easier for us speed cloth lovers. Credit goes mainly to rvacha and antinontoxic. Thanks to everyone! I know there are more out there...so please add 'em if you got 'em!

Mods, can we sticky and put in the Interior Picture Thread area?

The should've used M themed stitching like the steering wheel, but yes, the cloth does look awesome.

oh okay. that makes sense.

this is turning more into a speed cloth discussion than an actual picture thread (because no one has it!), but oh well. i love the speed cloth for that reason as well. i won't have my m3 for several months, but when it comes, it will have cloth inside.

If you like it, who cares what everyone else thinks! Could also be that the pics don´t do it justice.

I have to agree with most people here. I loved the idea of speed cloth but just don't understand why they didn't make it all cloth... Why would you want to have leather sides when that is where you have the most leather wear.

I love it - I'm ordering it for my e90 and will post pics as soon as I get it.

My e46 M3 had Imola Red and that wore so badly - not to mention it stained when I wore black shorts on a hot day.

It seems that the higher the quality the leather (smoother and more supple), the more it creases and wrinkles with wear. Maybe not but that's my perception.

Well, depends on how you treat/maintain the leather.

Why aren't the entire seats cloth? What's the advantage to having leather bolsters all around, as opposed to just having the whole seat cloth? I mean, if you want cloth seats, then wouldn't that be because you don't want leather?

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I bet less than 3% of US bound cars will have cloth.

If I was buying the car to live at the track, I would go that route. Otherwise I just don't understand it.
