Sounds very sketchy to me...they are likely hiding something or are praying that no one finds anything wrong. Too many good cars out there to get sucked into a headache.

Nice! PM me some details on those ARB lights you have in your bull bar. Trying to find a new, better purpose with ditch lights than my existing blinkers.

Super jacked thread.

She's beautiful! I regret not going with 35s every time I see them. Here are the lights...

The follow up of the E92 M3 saga...

I'll try to answer most of the questions from the previous posts.

The car was a 2011 E92 M3 with the competition package, six speed transmission and around 73,000 miles. A BMW dealership in Daytona Florida was selling the car. It was a trade-in. They were asking $28,700ish for the car.

Before I drove the car it had been out for a test drive a couple of hours before. When I got to the dealership, it was sitting in the warm Florida sun.

With the exception of the drivetrain noise and a couple of cosmetic issues (that the dealer was going to fix), the car was very clean and in nice shape. It had a clean Carfax showing that regular maintenance was done.

The salesman I dealt with was very reasonable and nice, but the sales manager was very rigid and a bit of a bully. The sale manager wouldn't allow a PPI. The three people I dealt with at the dealership all used what I would call "hard sell" techniques. I hate the hard sell...

After my test drive the service manager drove the car home for the night to evaluate it. I would be given his findings in the morning when the service manager returned to work.

I spoke with the salesman this morning. Low and behold, the service manager didn't find anything wrong with the car and said it was perfectly normal (just like most of you predicted...).

I passed on the car and was given my deposit back immediately - I'll give the dealership credit (no pun intended) for that.

So, the search continues.

Thanks again for all of your input.

If anyone wants to sell a 2013 Laguna Seca Blue on Laguna Seca Blue E92 M3 with a competition pack, six speed, less than 20,000 miles and doesn't have drivetrain back lash, let me know...

That doesn't seem like a good deal. I paid the same price for mine which is loaded, in pristine shape, clean carfax and only 45k miles. Only difference is mine is a DCT.

Agreed, below market value probably makes sense if they wanted to flip it quickly.

It's obviously a lot easier to find a DCT car for less than this, but I'd keep your eyes open a 6MT E92 is not that hard to find if you aren't being too picky on color combos. The right one will show up eventually and you're better off getting something that you know about your investment going in - it'll either make you feel comfortable to spend more money, or at least you'll be able to do your homework beforehand to know what the car is going to cost you in the first few months.

Good luck with the search, and keep an eye on the classifieds here. Plenty of enthusiast owned but properly maintained cars on here.
