Have just received the VRS lip and waiting for the oem carbon mirror caps and the oem black edition chrome grilles and gilles...can't wait to put it on

Looks great. How are you guys doing your black window trims in place of standard chrome? Is it vinyl wrap all around the windows/doors?

yup!Vinyl wrap! I cant imagine it being silver any more.

My fear is that the wrap may rub against other panels, particularly in the back when you fold the roof down. Is that not the case?

no rubbing at all, I have my trim vinyl wrapped for 2 years already and it looks like the first day I had it installed

on mine the window trim is gloss black from factory, but looking at almost every convertible, it appears that non of you US guys have had the option to choose the gloss black trim, is that correct...?

100% correct, no black trims for US cars, only the ugly chrome trim

Hmm that's a strange thing to leave out as an option. i had the chrome trim on my E60 M5, because the previous owner didn't opt for it because it was an extra cost, and i hated it, so wrapped it myself and didn't have any problems, and i saved around 2000 dollars on the oem gloss trim :-)
