mixing tire brands

Does anyone see any issue with mixing tire brands? For example, my rear tires are more worn than my front tires. I am looking at replacing my rear tires in the spring, and may go with Michelin Pilot Sports instead of Bridgestones (car currently has all Bridgestone tires).

Thoughts?

You may experience grip differences from front to rear depending on the performance rating of the tire and variance between manufacturers for a given rating.

I run ad08r up front and pss in back to reduce understeer.

It’s going to be a gamble no matter what. Maybe buy a set of 4 and sell the two good ones

I would not worry about having different front and rear tires.

For anything on the street? No problem at all.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

its not a huge deal. however, if you're one of those people that pretends to drive at 10/10ths in the canyons on the weekends, just get the same tire.

On a street car really no issues. As most E9X M3s, you replace the rears before the fronts. By the time the fronts will be worn it will be time to replace the rears again as well.
