We have worked it out for next week. He's going to spot for me too. We do have a rule that I'm not allowed to touch the car except to drive it for a good reason What's the next track?

Here's an update regarding the Assetto Corsa (pc version) online racing that I've been putting together:
I've decided to put on a 10-week long points series, and I'm also hosting weekly standalone races too for the next 10 weeks. We are racing at tracks all over the USA, and I've added one Euro track----Spa. (Anyone who wants to join will need to install 8 tracks into Assetto Corsa. I have links and info to help with that.) The cars in all races will be BMW Z4 GT3 - Medium Compound slicks - No traction or stability control. ABS Enabled. Damage: 50%. Tire wear: 100%. Driver may tune vehicle settings like alignment, gearing, aero, suspension, etc. Tuesdays are standalone races. Anyone can join on any week and try it out. Just send me a PM. The server can hold up to 16 drivers, so that will be the max. We're at 11 drivers right now. This week, I am hosting two standalone races to allow everyone in the series to get up to speed with setting up the necessary tracks, getting on Discord Chat, etc. The points series will start next week. This week's standalone race schedule: -Tuesday - Watkins Glen (Boot config) -Thursday - Buttonwillow (13CW config) Practice starts at 7PM PST, 8PM Mountain, 9PM Central, 10PM East Coast. Format: 10 minute Practice, 10 minute Qualifying, 10 lap race. Beginning April 23rd, Thursdays are a weekly series points race---10 races at 10 different tracks. Drivers earn points for their finishing position. Also, the fastest qualifying lap earns points. All 10 races count towards the points standings. (Starting next week, both the standalone-Tuesday and series-Thursday races will be at the same track during a given week. So, the Tuesday race can be used as a practice race for the series racers.) Here's the race points series schedule. 1. COTA - April 23 2. Sonoma - April 30 3. Watkins Glen - May 7 4. Buttonwillow - May 14 5. VIR - May 21 6. Laguna Seca - May 28 7. Road Atlanta - June 4 8. Mid-Ohio - June 11 9. Sebring - June 18 10. Spa - June 25 Practice starts at 7PM PST, 8PM Mountain, 9PM Central and 10PM East Coast. Format: 10 minute Practice, 10 minute Qualifying, 10 lap race. The points series has a rulebook with racer expectations. Basically, I am trying to encourage good clean racing. We're out doing to this to have a good time. If someone is pushing people off track and intentionally causing wrecks, there are consequences that can lead to points penalties, race disqualification and dismissal from the series. If someone wants to join the series, there's still time and slots. PM me if interested. There's no cost to join any of the races I'm hosting. All for fun. (Last week, during our first online ever race, most drivers decided to stay for a second race. We skipped the practice session and went straight to qualifying. People are welcome to stay and race as many times as they like during an evening. On the series nights, only the first race will count towards the points.) So, tonight is Watkins Glen! Looking forward to it!

I think i only got the track layouts being used this week email. I'll need to figure out how to find/install the tracks after work today or before the races tonight.

For some reason my game doesn't have an 'extension' folder.. so I won't be able to do the Watkins Glen events as I can't install the track properly. Idk if anyone else if having this issue, but it seems to be an issue for a few others when I searched online.

Did you try installing all the other stuff and see if the track works? I mean, it's worth a try...... I wonder why you don't have an extensions folder......is your install of Assetto Corsa and older version?

I was debating uninstalling and reinstalling the game but I'm not sure if it resets all my FFB settings and such, would be a pain to set it all up again when reinstalling might not even give me the folder I need. I'll keep trying stuff, but worst case I won't make the Watkins Glens races. I'll be at the others though |

Had the same issue, my install is new only a few weeks old.
I create the folders, but haven't tried it yet. I'll try it once I'm done a few things.

Program files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/assettocorsa/ In essense, you'd just be creating your own extension folder.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\ tracks I moved the "content" folder from step one into that "tracks folder" and then went and pulled the two files referenced in step two and put them in the same "tracks" folder. It's working for me and I'm a new install as well. Also there is a 98% chance that I accidentally did something else and lucked into it working - successfully working the "on" button is typically the limit of my computer skills/knowledge.

I was able to do a practice lap in Watkins Glen Boot.
Appears to be working.

Quick update on the Assetto Corsa racing:
On Tuesday, OG Shark was tearing up Watkins Glen! He took home the win! (Actually we raced twice and he won both. The second race was a friendly race where some people (like OG Shark and SQ13) were holding back to make for more wheel-to-wheel action.). Tonight, we will hit a West Coast classic----Buttonwillow. For people that aren't familiar with Buttonwillow----in real life, Buttonwillow is a benchmark for people all up and down the West Coast and even further away. The 13CW config is definitely a measuring stick. Looking forward to it! See ya guys out there!

Tonight we're racing at COTA on Assetto Corsa. This is the standalone practice race. Thursday will be Race #1 in the series.
Last week, OG Shark dropped the hammer at Buttonwillow and took the win! For a guy who is new to sims, I'd say he's picking it up quite nicely!!! Anyway, 10 laps around COTA will be a tough challenge tonight. See ya guys out there!
