Speaker is crackling/static (front driver side)
Just realized some sudden crackling and static on my front driver side speaker. This is the speaker located on the door. But it seems like the problem only happens with certain songs or audio frequencies. What could the problem be? Does it have something to do with a fuse?
I haven't really driven the car for a while. Maybe once a week and the car was just charged on a battery tender. it was giving me low battery warning and the car wanted me to visit a service center (most likely because of low charge on the batt). Last edited by 哇靠M3; 08-01-2014 at 07:20 PM.. |

Most likely just a blown speaker.. It's either your high frequency driver or the mid range driver.
Find a song that has the frequency where you can hear it. Replace the speaker that makes the crackle.

Weird problem is, I never blast the music. Do you know how much it cost for a speaker? |

Can't say how much. I found it a week after I bought the car so it was replaced free. Only took them 30 min to replace tho. It's a speaker.. Can't be to expensive.

I think in my case it's the mid range speaker that's "blown". Bought the car like that, so i don't know if the previous owner blasted it. |
