Program 31.2.0.6 Update on 11/28/08

I just got back from Advantage BMW of Midtown in Houston, TX. The Sales Technician showed me on his computer screen that I was given 31.2.0.6. I wonder if this is an even newer version or is it the same thing as 31.2?

Anyway, the car drives great in S mode, but I've only done highway speed driving so far. In D mode, I have not had the opportunity to drive enough at slow speeds (when the lag/hesitation is at its worse). I'll post my impressions again in a week.

BTW, when I dropped the car off, I had 1181 miles (16.5 mpg). When I picked it up, it had 1197 (12.5 mpg). I guess the technicians had a lot of fun "testing" the update....mmm...hhmmm.

I also got my 1200 mile service done today. It feels good to finally take this thing to 8200 rpms!

i doubt that they joy rode it. when you program it, the MPG is reset. i dont know where that place is, but if its in the city, i doubt it had time to get back to more freeway driving.

Of course they joy rode it, they put 16 miles on the car. That is really a lot of miles if you think about it. The freeway is about .5 miles away from the dealership, so very likely they took it to the freeway to do some testing after the update. I'm not upset or anything. I was expecting it.

I believe you can request no test drive.

Let's stick to the focus of this thread guys. The focus of this thread is about 31.2.06 (not about the technicians joy-riding).

You probably should have told yourself that before the first post.

This happened to me as well. It's an anomaly of the update where the odo doesn't pick up correctly where it left off. I had an extra 30 miles added to the car and I asked the same question as well.
