Difference between Bomiz and Valvetronic exhaust
I'm really thinking of getting a valvetronic exhaust down the road, and came across tons of videos/posts for both Bomiz and Valvetronic. Not sure if I can tell a difference in terms of sound (maybe because I watched too many videos), or quality, so it seems like it comes down to preference.
Anyone have experience with either brands? Seems like Valvetronic is a more "popular" choice with E9X M3 owners from what I have seen on Youtube. Any input is welcomed! |

I'd recommend a cutout setup. It's ~$300, mine's been reliable, and I get a straight pipe and OEM at the push of a button. No videos capture how the exhausts sound in person, it's a deep bass that you feel in your core. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-5-Inch-Y-...QAAOSwF3ldbnCl |

I always thought 'valvetronic' wasn't a brand. I was under the impression that it was a generic term used to refer to any exhaust system which uses an electronically controlled valve to change the volume of the exhaust. The valve itself may be vacuum pressure actuated, or driven by an electric motor.

IPE and a few others have exhausts with valves and call that model 'Valvetronic' so it's now going to be confusing any time that term is used.

Is frequency intelligent's exhaust also made in Taiwan? I know armytrix and IPE is.. I always liked the FIE's.. they're a little cheaper too I believe.. $2800 for their valvetronic header back system.
The evolve etronic is nice too

They are both Made in China but one of them claims that it's Made in USA.
FI is made in Malaysia if I am not mistaken. IPE and Armytrix are Taiwan. They are all roughly the same design internally, the rest you are paying for is the other features like remote, gesture control, app.

Good info in here, I was initially thinking of doing the ACM exhaust mod and then getting a Corsa exhaust down the road.
But, after seeing Bomiz's valvetronic exhaust and now the brand "valvetronic" exhaust I'm split between the two. Kind of a bummer knowing they are both just Chinese exhaust, I hope quality is long lasting. |

Valvetronic Designs tried to defend themselves talking about warranty and all but the buyer told them that the same company also offers a warranty. There's no reason for the $1k markup for the same exact exhaust.

Just order one. It's $900-$950 shipped. I'd do it but I installed cutouts and left my OEM muffler on there. The only reason why I'd buy one now is faster actuation of the valves, and having a uniform exhaust where the cutout is in the same location as the muffler. They talked to me about group buys/discounts, but with everything going on, I just stopped looking for a new set up for now. |

Did anyone notice how Valvetronic's catless x-pipe makes less power over a fully stock xpipe, than test pipes alone make?
Spencer's video only shows +12whp & +9wtq over stock, and it's fully catless. Test pipes usually make over 20whp over stock.

Might want to do some research to see if there are caveats when the valves are closed. Thought I recalled some warning to avoid driving aggressively and limiting your rpms when closed due to the restricted flow.
Please take this with a grain of salt; I can barely recall. I just remember wondering why I didn't hear more about it. |
