The 285/30/19 Cup2's are the Corvette run-flat (RF) spec which are only available in the 285 and 335 sizes. They not compatible with the regular Cup2's. I've been going round and round trying to get a better set of tires than the P4S. My only concern is the 295/30/19 may be too big for the track (they are fine for the street on my current Supersports).

Full disclosure. VIR was repaved and slightly reconfigured (some turns were widened) in 2014 which results in about a 2 second faster lap time. Given that, I'm really surprised that they are that close given the Laguna results. But then again, C&D doesn't use the same driver like Motor Trend either so their results can be inconsistent.

We have to face the facts here...the general public will not take tire advancement (or factory undersizing) into account when making comparisons between new and old cars, and this is exactly what the marketing teams seek to continue...Consumerism at its finest.

To be honest I would take a Focus RS over the CTR.

I think I would rather have a CTR than an E30 or E36, it actually does seem more "luxurious" to those cars IMO, lol. I would still prefer an E46 to the CTR and definitely prefer the E92 to the CTR.

I hope most M car owners don't feel this way. Honda has a long history in racing and has produced some really good sports cars - NSX, S2000 and CTR. In fact base civics are really good cars for the price. Please don't knock cars based on the badge. It gives bmw drivers bad reps
