Tried to buy an M3 this weekend. Dealer told me new rates would come out on Tuesday, but he didn't expect anything special for January since M3 inventory was down. I was quoted 5.9 for standard financing and 7.9 for select financing, and those were his buy rates. This is basically what kept me from buying the car. That and a 2009 Z4 35i that is absolutely worthless according to 2 different dealers. I will try again in a month or so.

You should be getting 4.9% unless you have credit issues.

I'm pretty sure that 5.9% went with the $1,500.00 discount Winter Joy promotion.

Correct. M3s did not have special financial support from BMWFS, 5.9% loans and 0.00245 money factor, with the $1,500 Holiday Credit. Before the credit the residuals were 1% higher and the money factor was 0.0025 if I recall correctly. Will be interesting to see what January brings.

High 700 beacon score... still quoted 5.9 and he showed me his buy rates. I am in the business so I know what the bank rate sheets look like.

I see that my comment about your credit insulted you. Its reality. At 5.9% he bumped the rate to make money on the back end. Last months program was 4.9% on new cars.

I'm a Client Advisor I have all the program rates.

I understand retail financing and back end (reserve) money. The fact is that with the holiday cash program of $1,500 the buy rate was 5.9. Saw it in person myself.

There was no holiday cash last month on any M product. The loyalty program was 4.9% for BMW owners.

Yes there was, I got $1,500 on a 2010 M3 Coupe. Even the BMW USA web site had the Holiday Cash. Read the bulletins.

ok. saves me on doing the whole round to the dealership. whats the lease to drive this off the shelf? bmw has to help us on this one. 1k plus payment/mo is too much off a premium. also, i guess 5% rate is in the ball park of what other automakers are doing. but the gvt is paying you to drive fuel effecient cars and ones made in usa. also, every car maker has a good car on the road map. so its all future stuff. so if a consumer wants to buy now, its kind of limbo really. sorry for two cents.
it really should be easy to buy an M3 and keep it under 1k a month looking at the market. I will agree 100 % its a great car. but the prices.....somebody has to give somewhere, the bank, the dealership, the factory, the carmaker, the gvt, taxes, right now, the consumer is just doint it all!! u might want to delete this post!!

Both dealers offered me holiday cash on the M3 ($1500). It ended on Monday the fourth. Better re-read your paperwork Captain CA. Now you know why we all get so aggravated with CA's at the stealerships. They don't even know the details of their current sales promotions. Mine didn't know what EDC was...

Does anybody know if the .9% financing rate is going to come back soon? I want to get into an 2010 E90 now, but would much rather wait it out until the '11s come out if that's the case.

No one knows but the rates aren't that great right now. Perhaps when there's a surplus of cars like there were before but from what I've heard they reduced overall production.
