2011 m3 ordered questions.....

Hey guys my dealer called me like a week ago and asked if I wanted the conveince package because I ordered alot of things already that would be included in it well anyway I orderd it I also orderd tech package, zcp, and the premium package how does that work because the tech and convience package both include navigation?? I ordered my car on July 23 my dealer called me a week and a half later to add the convience package. Help please lol

how long did they say it would take from ordering to actually getting the car?

They told me around 8 weeks I tracked it online but it still says on order but all of my options don't show up only heated seats, convience package and zcp show up online??

YOU BETTER call dealer. Convenient pkg,replaces technology pkg. So you dont want both. I am not sure you can get tech pkg as my dealer said I could still. She is still waiting to hear back from BMW. I think there all idiots BMW included. Know one knows what's going on there all assholes.

Convenience Pkg replaces Tech Pkg but with some differences. You are in the same boat as me. The dealer has no more slots until the September builds and we both have to wait. Some sales people are more educated than others about the changes and as part of my research, I knew the changes were coming. With my lease up in late Oct, I wanted to wait for a Sept build anyway so the the timing and changes don't bother me. I ordered July 24th and the website says my car is in production and the phone system says the car is not due for completion until Sept 7th...

I ordered mine last week and my sales person was nice enough to screw around with the orders and make mine a couple weeks late to get September production.

I would stick with what you got.

And those won't show up for a while. Mine is doing the same thing. It isn't showing the Prem 2 pkg. You just got to give it some time

Old Tech Pkg was M Drive, Navigation, Electronic Damping Control (EDC) and Comfort Access. New Convenience Pkg is Alarm, Comfort Access, Parking Dist Control, Navigation, Voice Command, iPod.

Bottom line: M Drive is now standard so no worries there. The Convenience Pkg does not have the EDC. You now get that as part of the Competition Pkg or as a $1,000 option as I recall. Otherwise you are getting everything in the old Tech Pkg plus a few new things like the alarm...

My car went to status 150 (In Production) quickly but with the factory shut-down in August, the scheduled completion date is Sept 7th. Do you have a production number yet? It really depends on when you are scheduled for production. I got a Sept slot, this will be my fifth BMW from Peake so they are pretty accomodating! If you are in early Sept as well, ballpark I'd expect the cars at the dealer early Oct. Expect a month from completion to seeing the car at the dealer. I was going to do Performance Center Delivery with my car but am now rethinking that. Still may do it...

Yeah, call the CA or try the 800 #. You give your Order number and it gives you an update and expected completion date. Try that...
