Frankly it seems there have been nothing but problems with the MS intake in many threads through the years. Intakes never made sense.

I love the sound of the drop in filters. I use BMC and AA-green filter. Both have performed perfectly in extremely hot weather with no fitment issues or any problems.

MS also was the one who always had to have an adaptor to the 2010 plus cars and just never made sense to go with MS.

I was in the market for a BMC/AA DIF and opted to stick with OEM for the fear of issues like this happening. OP, good luck.

I am one of the folks that has had nothing but excellent service from EAS. I would use them again for my M3 needs.

Why not go with Gruppe M intake? I have run Gruppe M intakes on my M3 and never had any issue with the intake. Regardless of price.

I am military as well and thank you for your service!

Sorry to hear about your issues, OP. i actually run this same intake for two years now, I replaced the filter once. I didnt have fitments issues, but i cant really see the underside of it. I will be checking mine for the piece of mind soon.

My experience with EAS has been very good, no vendors are 100 percent perfect, but I have been happy with them and the service Tom provides.

Its a mix of debris and water. I washed the car that day so I am guessing its left overs that made it up the intake duct on the front bumper. I pray that everything is okay because its a very small amount but who knows.

I would say at least just reach out to them to get your money back. Spend that on a better quality product

While I didn't opt for stage II, I'm going to check on that filter.

I've used EAS for MS products in my M3 which is daily driven 100+ miles and I haven't run into this for my stage 2 intake. Also, EAS's quality of labor has high attention to detail. They fixed a suspension problem that a few shops looked at but did not know how to fix. I trust Steve and Tom with my car...

Did you let EAS know and try to let them make it right? Not everyone is perfect...

OP - I was thinking about changing my MS filter to something else, but this just hurried the process of changing it up. However, I've never known EAS not to take care of an issue such as this, maybe a good idea to talk to them first? just a suggestion.

I am not trying to put anyone down I am just stating facts and addressing issues to the M3 community. Other members on here should know about this and check their own for the sake of the engine!

I have made my comments towards them for numerous things prior to this. This was the final deal breaker for me to come on here and report. It took them 2 months to send me a tow strap, painted IND cover and the DIF adapter. They blew me off because they knew I was out in the field. They took my money for a month and then never shipped. Then after I returned from the field they took another month to ship. I am sick of these jokers, not everyone is perfect but these guys are borderline retarded. I should post another vendor feedback thread on this.

Read my reply above. I hope that you have no fitment issues.

I have had nothing but stellar service from EAS and all my MS parts (Intake, pullies, test pipes, shift knob, tow strap etc etc) have fitted perfectly and performed flawlessly both on the street and on the track after countless miles.

My best guess is that issues do happen every once in a while with mass produced stuff -whether it's an intake, a whole car or bad batch of cucumbers. I'm sure they will make it right.

i have had good success with eas, but have trended towards other dealers since early in my ownership. i like hpautowerks, m-world, bimmerworld, and turner for the most part these days.

I had my MS filter for about 12k miles and ~20 tracks days; I had no issues so yay!

But I only did the filter upgrade so I can say I did it; I didn't expect any power increase from it. I was bored and thought, why not? it's cheap anyways.

My OEM one got really dirty in the 6k miles I had it (and about ~7 track days).
That happens whenever you go off at Buttonwillow though! interior gets full of dirt too lol

why not just buy a 25$ K&N filter. I never gave into the hype about MS advertising on the forums.
