This one actually came from the UK many years ago and we have been friends since.

There has only been one who ran to the UK, but this had nothing to do with me and everything to do with her "pen pals" new found wealth after his mother passed; aka "oh you got money now? I never realized how attractive you are, let's get married" syndrome. In this situation, whatever country she fled to was a great one.

Side story time: When I was a repo guy, we went the King residence.....they named their son B.J......and had his name blazoned on everything the poor kid owned. That poor little kid. If nothing else, you can bet your sweet ass he is tough as nails; or such psychological trauma that he will end up a serial killer.

LOL...true story. The owner of the last company I worked for had the last name of Wacker...with the "W" being pronounced as a "V".

First name was Peter. I remember thinking if he grew up here...the hell he would have went through!

That's awesome! When I was 16, and a cashier at a grocery store, I took a check once from a woman named Minnie Paughs. Our librarian in middle school, whose first name was Cathy, married a man whose last name was Cathy...yes...her name was Cathy Cathy. She never understood when we asked her, if her sister was Lisa Lisa. She never got the Cult Jam and Full Force references either. Points to any of the 80's kids on here that get the reference.

Also true: Had a high school math teacher named Mr. Orris (Brent I think). Wife pregnant with first child, boy. Asked class for name ideas. Got the usual plus Brontis, which I thought was a good choice. Went with Clint instead.

I suppose if the kid ever got lost, only his mom could find him!
