Anybody have the PN for the sensor?
Or for the larger piece that includes the sensor? I need to balance cost of the part versus the labor. If the sensor is cheap but a PITA to replace, maybe I'll get the larger part if the install is simpler. Thanks! |

Not a big savings, but I have used this seller several times, and always top notch and fast.

It's really not that bad with the tools I listed, I promise. If you can do the passenger rear spark plug without dying (which people really exaggerate) then you should be fine with this haha. I have big hands so I couldn't even get my hands involved at all. Was kinda like a game of "Operation"... I ordered mine from FCP...just in case it gets wet again in the future.

What a PITA job this was. Took me 3 hours!! THAT TOO WITH HELP!
Reaching all the bolts and sensors was such a pain - my back still hurts but job completed! Erased the code and went for a 10 mile drive. Will go for another 40 mile drive to ensure it doesnt return. Thanks to everyone for the help! |

If all you are doing is a flush just hook up a pressure bleeder to the reservoir and you won't have any leaks. Then hook up a catch bottle to whatever wheel you are bleeding.

my car went into limp mode and the dash turned into a christmas tree. it was still under warranty, so i didn't get all the codes and such. probably coincidental to your fluid flush.

Did a brake flush during the holyday. As I'm not clumsy I didn't bother to wrap the tank with paper towel... FFS, overfilled with a proper splash.
Cleaned up, rinsed with a tad water and left to dry for a couple of days. Took her for an hour spin today, no more pump buzz than I remember as usual, no codes. Crossing fingers till they get blue that I got away with my stupidity. Lesson learned, better be precautious then f@ck up. I read shit can hit the fan later on, just have to drive and see I guess. |

Hi. I've been trying to trouble shoot a similar problem and came across this thread purely by accident when searching for photos of a servo check valve.
Anyway, I did a brake bleed on Sunday and of course I'm and idiot and I let some brake fluid overflow while filling. Since then i've been experiencing a stiff brake pedal after the car has been sitting for a few hours. I assumed it was a leak somewhere in the vacuum lines. Maybe a check valve or servo a gasket and thought maybe the brake fluid had corroded the rubber but I've since found out from a bit of googling that brake fluid doesn't damage rubber so I was ready to put it down to a coincidence that this issue started on the same day as the brake bleed until I found this thread. It seems likely that I could have damaged the sensor but so far no codes and the servo seems to operate as normal when the engine is running. Is there any way a damaged sensor could lead to a loss of vacuum pressure over time when the engine is shut off or would there have to be a leak present for that to happen? |
