The e90 model has very conservative tip length. i actually am on the hunt for an e92 Dinan for my e90, as the tips do not even make it past my stock bumper. Once i add the diffuser i have sitting around, the exhaust will sit inside and tips will not be visible...
That being said, if you put this e92 Dinan on your e90, the tips will probably stick out about an inch from the bumper when looking from above. |

So I would need a diffuser to make it look flush. Would it look out of place without one? if that is the case, I might as well buy a new dinan exhaust. The cost of a diffuser plus a used Dinan would be equal to a new one that is made for an E90. Or am I totally getting the thought process wrong. not sure.
