EDC now going soft??

Hi guys,

yeah I'm back with yet another EDC thread, please bear with me... After the EDC two years ago somehow lost the difference with settings and went generally "too" stiff, the bloody suspension now seem to getting looser for each month.
There is still a subtile difference with settings but overall soft. Even when pulling a connector (disabling module/current output = completely stiff), its nowhere near the stiffness it used to be. Car has 38k miles town driving so simply can't believe that the dampers should be gone.

I've had the same tires, tried up to 43-45PSI, still mushy compared to what it used to be. What about you guys, still have the original tooth clatter in Sport mode?

I almost can't drive my car in Sport - way too stiff. Even normal is too stiff for 90% of my driving.

100 percent agree with this. Same for me. My EDC is always on softest setting - unless I press M and shit goes crazy,

Thanks guys, thats the way I remember mine too so another sign that mine in fact has gone soft. Realize my EDC is becoming a bit of a funny story on the board but I simply can't let it completely go although I continue to enjoy the car.

Speaking of funny Nik, are you referring to your EDS or your EDC? Either way it sounds like you are having issues in the stiffer setting. Unfortunately for the EDC there isn't a magic pill...

Right on bro, as long as ones main issue in life is EDC, we can't complain...

Okidoki, so another one with similar behavour. Did you try to unplugg one of the connector (on top of damper)?

Just to close this thread: Was lucky to meet up with a fellow E90 ZCP guy yesterday (and almost identical mileage). After we changed cars and did some test driving we concluded they behaved in a very similar way i.e. small but noticeable differences between settings.
Soo… either non is working as they should or... what ever. Case closed for now, I'll go off and enjoy my new rod shells instead.

This. FWIW my car has 48K on it, all original, and still feels super tight/fresh. Knock on wood, it’ll now probably go soft tomorrow. The car, that is.

Glad you found closure even if not the answer! I can’t say my settings transform the car from Lexus to GT3RS, but the settings are distinct with noticeable changes. Id absolutely buy EDC again but I wouldn’t if the settings hardly changed anything.

Tried changing the module as one of the first actions, and as posted in earlier thread above I've also measured valve current fine on all settings. Ah well, she will have to do for the one driving her!

I can hardly notice a difference in the EDC settings in my 2011 since I bought it at 25k miles

Strange....in both of mine the steering feel tightens it feels heavy more direct less loose more controllable, maybe take it to a dealership to diagnose?
