Can you guys share what wax product(s) you use?

Thanks a lot!

Poorboy's natty blue...real bargain for $20 or less. I since bought chemical guys Pete's 53 but like the poorboy's better (among other things much easier to get on/off). Btw you may want to post this in detailing section.

For dark colors, i use dodo juice purple haze.

Last car was white, i used it on there and worked well too. The main thing i aim for is longevity. But keep in mind, the wax will only last if the car is prepped well.

I don't buy into that whole swissvax garbage. I was tempted to use swissvax, and when I contacted a detailer about it.. I asked how long a coat would last me. I laughed, and bought more Dodo Juice.

OP..you should know that wax wont cure marring, swirl marks, light scratches..etc...for that you will need to clay ..compound/polish and then wax

If your paint is good then a good wash and wax is all you need.

This. I love the fact that when you keep on top of waxing even after a quick wash your car will come up with great shine.

I'm no stranger to detailing, but I have one question. Is it true that you can over-wax? I also heard this is a myth but I just want to be sure because I heard it may damage the paint.

Over-waxing will accomplish nothing.

Over-waxing will NOT damage paint.

1-2 Coats every so often will keep you in good shape. But as one said, wax will not remove any imperfections in paint. Polishing is needed for that. And when you polish/clay, you are removing wax. If anyone has specific questions, pm me. I'd be glad to assist you. Not a detailer, I have a body shop and I occasionally engage in 1-2 hours of reading everything about detailing

I won't lie, it is definitely appealing so i understand where you're coming from. But honestly, it's kind of one of those things where because of the name they can charge you what they want.. You know what I mean? Well at least imo

If you want a high end wax, dodo Juice supernatural. Google it

The one I use isn't "high end" but it sure did work for me, I believe it's less than 100 now.

I have actually used multiple coats of wax and it will in no way hurt your paint..

But i feel its wasted effort as you just end up removing lower layers by going more than one coat and dont get "that" much improvement in shine..one coat of a quality pure wax does the trick

Thanks that cleared it up. I couldn't understand how wax can damage paint, that's because it doesn't!

Have you tried Swissvax yet? It is truly amazing to use. Ease of application/removal, the smell, and most importantly, the way the paint looks like you could dive into it. Probably many products out there that are similar, but none are the same, sorry. And Im not saying go get a tub of Crystal Rock, but get some Shield. It is fantastic and lasts for quite some time. Plus all the other products for the tires/wheels, interior, leather cleaning, all of it is natural, smells great and does an awesome job. Only an opinion, much like yours, but Swissvax has done me right...
