With Bluetooth, shouldn't the head unit control the BT source?
My car has Bluetooth phone as well as audio. However I have to select the music "manually" by going through the Music app on my iPhone X. The sound is great, but I thought I'd be able to navigate my music library using the iDrive and/or steering wheel controls. That doesn't work. My song and artist info is up there, but no album art. I thought I remembered people here talking about album art getting displayed on their info screen.
Is my car missing some coding, or some kind of more advanced BT module? |

Album art is not possible on our cars with audio streaming. Only via USB or the y-cable for iPhones.
Steering wheel controls still work. Browsing/changing playlists not available.
