Which one to get?

I've been looking to get an e90 m3 manual for a while and have narrowed down my search to these two

1- 2011 m3 sedan. 55k miles. Navigation comfort access, etc. 6 spd Manual. He's asking $30k maybe a little negotiable. White on black leather

2- 2013 m3 convertible. 49k miles. Equipped the same. Asking $32k. Black on black/red interior

Are there any big differences between 2011 and 2013?

Both these cars are out of warranty, so I'm a little concerned about the hard top convertible. Is that an area of concern?

Anything I should be careful about? Thanns

The convertible is not a Sedan so theres that. Changed mind for cab? Grab the E93...:-)

Reg 2011 vs 2013 no differences at all except is the '11 produced early youll miss some infotainment.

Heres some diff details mate: https://bmwmregistry.com/model_faq.php?id=50

Good luck!

I had an E93 and now have an E90.

In a nutshell:

-It will make some weird noises as it flexes over bumps.
-The roof mechanism has proven to be reliable.
-The S65 sounds amazing in the open air.
-It suffers from the same E9x platform issues.
-It is noticeably heavier, but still plenty fast.

Really depends on your needs. A lot of guys bash the E93, but for some reason don't understand people want a convertible sometimes. For me it was a summer car that was never going to see the track so it made sense.

Wouldn't go back to the Vert personally. Not enough nice weather in the northeast to benefit fully. Looks like you're in FL so that might not be of concern. Good luck either way.

As others have stated, the big differences between the two won't come from model year, but the differences between the E90 and E93 platforms. Those differences are discussed in plenty of detail across the forum, you should have no shortage of reading material on that subject.

Not sure where you are in Florida, but I went through the M3 search/buying process in South Florida about 6 months ago. At that time, there was a comparative glut of E93s on the market, and I found that dealers were much more willing to negotiate on verts. If you're considering one, you might be able to get the seller down off his asking price pretty significantly...at least based on the market that I found a few months back. With that said, I drove both the sedan and the vert a good bit before settling on an E90, and I've been thrilled with the decision I made Good luck whichever way you choose to go!

Thanks guys. I found out the 11 sedan has a production date of 7/2010 so I'm assuming I won't be able to stream Bluetooth? Does it still get Bluetooth calling?

Also I'm going to be adding a rear view camera from bimmer tech so if Bluetooth streaming is something easy to add at the same time I can do that

For about ten bucks you can add a Bluetooth accessory that you can plug in and hide in the center console that will allow you to stream music pretty seamlessly through the Aux port. That's what I do and it works exactly as well as the factory setup.

I am not sure on if you can add or not but the 2011.5 cars added Bluetooth streaming ... sept 10 build dates and greater.

The vert weighs 440lbs more, it's a porker.

But get what you like to drive.

Bluetooth calling is in 99% of m3's. The bluetooth music streaming comes down to the combox which can be retrofitted if you don't have it. Regardless, the bovee bluetooth thing is $80 and is freaking awesome.

Unless you anticipate putting the top down often, get the sedan.
