Congrats! The 9668 is a formidable kit. The 25mm pads are just glorious. They last me a long time.

Just a quick note about the kit. One of my front pads was wearing quicker than the other three. Jeff Ritter at Essex recommended rotating the pads around the front to even out the pad wear. Thought that was interesting.

I've experimented with both the bridge bolts/solid spacers and the quick release spring clips. I couldn't tell any difference in feel. So, I'm just running the quick release spring clips because they're so convenient.

Who's making your custom caliper brackets? AR/Eddie?

This is what my gut was telling me. "Race cars" are going to be mostly custom wiring that's purpose built.

Yes. AR Motorsports/Eddie will design the brackets. Then we will send them off to a machine shop.
It looks like I have found a nice home for the kit.

Let's just say I cut off LOTS of wires and cap them
Like, LOTS lol

What was the final weight of the build?
Haven't weighed it yet

i was thinking it would be neat to mount the voltphreaks battery in the rear seat depression (with a delete panel) and shorten up the wiring a bit. same with the premium sub amp that is on the other side.

I second that.
I have to rotate pads as well.
Especially, in my case, the inside pad is worn out quicker, and it is harder to see.

I now check the inside every time I take the wheels off.

Mmmm. Is the wear related to the amount of hard braking zones in a certain direction (right or left)? Or seem to be independent? Anything that it can be contributed to? How severe/how often do you move the pads around?
Thanks

Engine/Wiring harness

In other exciting news. I am having my engine wiring harness rebuilt and relocated on the e46 M3 with S62. The first harness was just put together quickly as to get the car running. The radiant heat from the engine quickly turned the wires brown and crispy. We repaired the damaged wires and also ran some fresh air directly into the harness. The next harness will be built by a professional costing thousands. How many thousands I don't know yet. It just has to be done.

I’ve never rotated them before but will in the future. It’s not something that needs to be done often because of the thickness of the pads.

Essex attributes it to driving CW vs CCW.

It’s easy to see pad thickness so it’s not a hard thing to monitor.

CW & CCW wear is pretty normal. I'm not worried if that's all it is.

There's a Black Friday through Cyber Monday sale going on for do88 parts, but it looks like the discounts aren't as good as last year.

yea, its $50. i might be looking at a dct service soon, so i was hoping someone would already have one landed that i could get like $100 off or something. if the thing is going to be drained, i would like to do an upgrade.
i don't want to pay full pop, and i don't want slonk to sit on my money for six months of silence.

Curious what all folks are grabbing on sale?

I ordered an Ohlins R&T kit and did a spring swap to 448F/784R from 3DM Motorsport. 10% off and partial credit on the spring swap. They offer one free re-valve as a nice perk for buying through them as well.

Also grabbed some Powerflex black rear sway bar bushings for 15% off, hoping I can swap those w/o the need to lower the rear subframe, installing some SPL rear sway bar endlinks at the same time (had those).

SPL looks like they are having a 20% off sale, very tempted on a number of parts there. Also tempted on a square set of 18x10 et25 Bimmerworld TA5R wheels, $1087 shipped, can't beat that price! Have to choose the set to get it vs 4 individual wheels.

The Ohlin's deal sounds like a good one!

I picked up some spacers and studs from Apex's sale. Need to pickup some more EC-7's but going to wait until I get paid on Monday for those, good thing their sale runs through Monday!

Bimmerworld has a sway bar that I was looking at "on sale," but the part has been on sale on their site for a couple months now and the Black Friday "deal" is actually the same price no extra discount (looks like they raised the price back up to MSRP and then discounted)... I've been tracking it. So I'll keep waiting on that one.
Same with PowerFlex bushings. 15% off seems to be a common sale for those so I'm going to hold-off on that purchase too for another time.
The SPL Sale looks decent at face value, but I just picked a random part - Front Swaybar Endlinks - and the price Bimmerworld has discounted them to vs SPL for the same part is only $2 different. So not huge savings there really.

The only other thing that's tempting me is the 15% off sale at Murray Motorsport as I would really like to pickup some seats for my car... Still debating though on that purchase as it's a bigger one and would also lead me down the rabbit hole of needing to buy mounts, harnesses, etc LOL
BUT If anyone wants an AIM Solo or SmartyCam, that 15% off makes the combo a very good deal and is tempting me too...

I've got a cart on murray for Schroth Flexi 2x2's. They have a great price on those. Seeing used flexis on ebay bid up higher.

I just bought a Circuit 2 QRT from rallymerchandise.eu for $645 shipped (no sale actually, just the best price I found online); and a brey krause R-9261 seat mount and R-9259 sub strap bar for $283 shipped from vividracing. EDIT: I canceled the order for the seat because murray has them for $452 after the 15% discount!

Anybody have a best price on HANS III? The murray 15% won't apply to the hans.

I'm also tempted by the APR GT-250 price of $1450 at evasive motorsports, but I'm having a cage fabbed soon, and need a bbk before aero as well. I wish there were some better bbk deals on PFC or AP kits.
