Those sound like my words- and there is something I would like to follow up on. I made those statements in the spring, having installed the kit the previous November.

Now that we are well into summer, I am finding much more traction in the car. I think the warmer air is both helping the tires, and the increased IATs are reducing power a bit, causing better traction.

What skid plates are any of the Harrop owners here running?

I need to replace my OEM one, and figured might as well upgrade, but I've read that some skid plates like Turner Motorsport's don't fit due the location of the Harrop supercharger intercooler.

I'm running the Turner plate but couldn't use the included support beams due to the cooler lines. Just reused the wire ones from the stock undertray.

Bunch of people running it, and no issues with the Harrop kit.

I agree. Can confirm that the Harrop system, Mporium skid plate, even the Do88 radiator and oil cooler fit.

This is exactly our set up. The undertray actually brought the oil temps down a tad, which was an unexpected but welcomed benefit. Also love not scraping the sides in driveways.

Sounds like this is the answer. Would love a bit more clearance, and dropping the oil temps is always a plus. Thanks all!

Same setup here, just swapped the Do88 radiator for a CSF, but still have the Do88 PS, DCT, and oil coolers with the Mporium undertray. Oil temp sits around 220F on the highway when it is 100F out here in the TX heat.

Curious why you swapped the Do88 radiator for the CSF radiator? I have been considering getting the full Do88 setup.

I had one of the early Do88 radiators and the fitment was a bit too wide, so rather than fab a solution, I had the shop swap it for the CSF. I have heard the later ones have fit well, but mine was off and I didn't have time to fight to try and have them ship me a replacement.

FYI to those who have made deposits, the ETA is November instead of October.

Sorry - just got word!

We are in the process of building a 4.4L stroker and are thinking of putting it in a Z4 Coupe with the Harrop. That would be one fun track car!

Can you provide any details on the engine build?

Any folks running this kit with high mileage with success? I'm at 145k and debating if it's too risky.

RB's done 10k miles ago and all maintenance done to a T.

Yes, I run this kit and my car has >120K miles. Kit was installed at 65K miles in early November 2015. Rod Bearings done recently with B.E. & ARP at about 118K miles. Harrop runs lower boost than the Centrifugal blowers but moves more cfm volume at lower RPMs because it's a positive displacement screw type blower. It's why I went the Harrop route in order to be slightly kinder to the motor. Oh, and get the low RPM torque bump as well..

Sorry for the slow reply here.

It's a 4.4L Marine Crank, Arrow Rods, CP Pistons, Dinan Valve Springs. I bought the engine from one of my best friends that had it built about 5 years ago. He ran it for approx 5K miles, and then with an ESS kit for about 2K miles. Then the headgasket blew and after disassembly it looks like a sleeve dropped. Not sure if this was a machining error or what happened there. Trying to decide whether to deck this black and use a thicker headgasket, or source another block, have custom pistons made to spec, and then reassemble. Not a huge fan of sleeves and would prefer not to use them - although it's the easiest way to get this motor back together. Going to table this project for a bit and sell a few cars off to make space for the build.

UPDATE FOR THOSE WITH CURRENT DEPOSITS

Just to update everyone waiting for a kit that have made a deposit - you may have received an email that your order is on hold. This is because we had to move the kits out of our processing queue. The ETA for the kits is still November. you can ignore the email you received. You'll be contacted in October to finalize the order.

The following list are those that have deposits in line (just initials) - if you have made a deposit and you do not see your initials on this list, please contact us - although it should be a complete list:

1. SD
2. JH
3. GA
4. TL
5. AR
6. NN
7. RO
8. JR
9. AA
10. DS
11. PE

Thank you - it's going to be a fun November provided kit production continues as planned.

As in the air box or the elbow? The only elbow that'll fit the Harrop is the rubber one supplied.
