Would a Dinan tune void my extended warranty?

Bought my M3 used with an extended warranty, totally covered my ass too. Rod bearings blew 4 days after buying it and I got a brand new S65 installed.

Have roughly 70k+ miles left on the warranty and don't want to void it.

Would having an authorized Dinan installer do the engine or DCT Tune void it?

Yes, a Dinan tune voids any manufacture warranty. The warranty comes from Dinan themselves.

No warranty is going to be valid after a car is tuned. The warranty company recognizing the car is tuned is a different story

If you're talking about keeping the primary cats and stage 1 tune, save your money and get something else. Not worth risking your warranty. I don't think you'll notice a difference.

DCT tune, however, is worth it with faster gear engagement (especially reverse). But will void any transmission repairs in the future if they find it and can easily blame the failure on it. It's up to you to prove the dct tune didn't break your transmission if anything goes wrong.

I doubt they would ever know, they dont have the info BMW can get or even close to the info BMW can get. They only just send some guy out with a piece of paper with a check sheet and a camera for the work to be approved.

I had an aftermarket extended warranty. I had coilovers, tune, catless x pipe, etc. The only thing they didnt like was the catless x pipe, but my shop would swap it for free for the warranty work.

that's true, my warranty was handled over the phone. I told the company that i can install the part myself and they even added 100 bucks for my labor. But If you blowup two engines within a warranty that might be a problem.
