Battlefield 3 vs MW3

Anyone played either/both? I can't decide which one I want. I dont think it's necessary to get both. I havent beaten the single player of MW2, and I now MW3 is a continuation of the story. Which is better and has a better multiplayer experience??

Edit: I'm getting it for Xbox 360.

In all seriousness, for a computer gamer - get BF3 - Its insane, but you need to have a very good computer to run it maxed out without lagging. 64 player multiplayer with stunning graphics.

For console - MW3 is my vote, i like the not to realistic-ness of it when compared to BF3, its faster and you can still "run and Gun" people. If you try that in BF3 you get run over by a tank..

I have MW3 for console and BF3 for the PC. There are large difference as stated above, and you have to pick which style of play is for you. Personally, it's both, but that isn't true for everybody.

I have BF3 for xbox360. Its amazing. I love it. I like playing the story line its actually fun. Have not played the MW3 yet. But i dint like any of them. Its just me.

Yeah, absolutely 100% agree if the person in question has both a good PC and a console.

MW* for console
BF* for PC

That's how it's always been for me. But, if you don't have a rig that will run BF3 on decent settings, and you're limited to only console choices, then it comes down your preference in style of game play. BF3 REQUIRES teamwork and restraint, while MW3 is a run-and-gun, everyone is a superhero, type of game.

Funny you say that, but CoD games were originally made for the PC and later became a consol port. Unfortunatly now, MW is bascially ported over to the PC and is completely ruined by hacking due to the lack of dedicated servers

Supposidly BF3 is becoming like MW and is just another consol game ported to the PC.....it's more like Bad Company vs. Battlefield 2.

BF all day every day! i actually found the storyline in BF3 to be very weak compared to BF Bad Company 2.... I dont know, for bad company i got emotionally involved with the campaign, whereas i just felt like i was playing a CoD campaign in BF3. It can be beaten on the hardest mode in one day, which is not very satisfying. there were maybe 4 pressure points along the campaign.

Unlike everyone else, i refuse to play CoD just because of how arcade styled it is, and how not much skill is required to master the game. I would never waste my time on MW3, ive wasted too many hours on CoD series already in life... I realize i should have spent that time playing battlfield - no matter if its on PC or console.

BF > MW3, unless you favor the arcade styled games.

cant fuck with Battlefield!

I think I'm gonna do Battlefield. I've always done CoD, so I think I'm ready to change it up! How is the multiplayer on Battlefield?

General feeling from around the net.

Singleplayer: MW3 > BF3
Multiplayer: BF3 > MW3
Graphics: BF3 on low > MW3 maxed

BF3 plays slower, more tactical, if you rush in you'll probably get flanked and die. Where as MW3 you can rush it all you like.

I have BF3, I've never been too terrible great at BF games compared to just normal fps games. I always seem to get trumped by a vehicle of some sort. But I enjoy it.

I also am against MW3 because of what they did to their server support and Infinity Ward. So, my next fps will probably come from Respawn Studios. Hopefully they announce their new IP soon.

Yes and no. I mean I am loving the singleplayer. and that only lasts 6-7 hours. Its just that multiplayer is lacking. Sure, millions of people play, and its gonna be the best selling game. I think that BF3 multiplayer is more entertaining and I wouldn't get sick of it for a long time.

Glad I read this. I bought 2 copies of BF3 for xbox 360 when they had the buy 2 get 1 free game last weekend. Let me know if you want one copy of BF3 as my brother doesnt want it anymore. $50 obo. Amazon tracking shows Wed as delivery date.

The realism aspect, the graphics, the destruction, the lack kill perks, team based gameplay.

Make it the perfect shooter for me.
