Yea I think that's the guy who is always in the shopping center off of Sonora. He had a yellow 996 Turbo before this one! I see him occasionally in the mornings, and that thing is ridiculously fast! I believe that it is modified.

Plenty of rich soccer moms and teenagers driving daddy's car in my area, so there are a lot of NICE cars, but the only ones that think they're fast are driving Civics and older Mustangs. I have to go a good 45 miles to the other side of DFW to see the real fast cars (P,F,L,etc).

Was the exhaust integrated into the rear bumper? If it was, then it was a 997TT

A turbo S isn't near $190K. Base was about $160k and there isn't really much to add to the S. Even $170K is a stretch.

The M3 can hit 60 in 4.0 seconds flat. BMW is very conservative with their numbers. C&D got 3.9 with the Competition Package. It would have to be a really good day though.

Of course they (C&D) did. Typical car rag. The M is fast no doubt but I do doubt it is consistently pulling off 3.9s. Regardless 0-60 is so meaningless. 0-100, 120 even 150 tell the true story. This applies to the turbo as well. 2.9, 3.1 WTF does it really matter. 6.3 to 100 as Shift@red pointed out is something! The .2 turbo S's 0-150 is also crazy!!!

Evo certainly did not in their big MP12-4c vs. 458 shootout last month. It's a far better and balanced magazine than C&D. |

I drove a 2011 turbo s and although the car is insanely fast the turbo lag is horrendous. A 335 would feel like it's naturally aspirated compared to the 911 turbo. Very non linear power delivery and very hard to modulate acceleration. On the plus side it's very quiet and comfy compared to the gtx models, plus u can smoke any car that pulls up next to you.

It really depends how you drive it (as with any car). Very much like the M3. If you shift and let the revs drop a lot, then yes, you have to get back into boost (or power band). I do that sometimes just to feel the big shove in the back. If you have any real familiarity with the car you would have a much better idea of how it really drives. Then there is the "Sport" button...
