Electronics to detect M mode enabled/disabled?
How would one go about hooking into the car's electronics to detect when the M button is enabled or disabled?
Basically I want to open my exhaust cutouts whenever M mode is turned on. I have the electronics experience to rig up a microcontroller and relay to trigger the cutouts, but I don't know how to detect when M mode is enabled. Maybe some signal on the CAN bus? I have no idea. Avoiding anything warrenty-voiding would be nice. Thanks.
