Is this a good deal?
I was looking at used E46 M3's and came across this low miles car in LA: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...0&rdpage=thumb I usually post on E90, because I have a 335 sedan, so I'm not as familiar with the M cars. I just wanted to know if this is a decent asking price for this model w/ so few miles.

run KBB on the car- I would try to pay the private party price or less. also ask for extended warranty. McKenna has a black on black one too - been there a long time. call Kevin Hite.

What's KBB? And I'm not sure what you mean by paying the private party price since the car appears to be at a dealer. Sorry if these are ignorant questions. The car fax is posted on the site. The black on black at McKenna is CPO, but much higher mileage, and more money. And as much as I love black cars, man are they a drag to keep clean.

that is high for a non-bmw certified pre-owned car. froma ford dealer $33k is the right money for that car

kbb = kelly blue book. go to kbb.com and price the car. it will give you the price you should expect at a dealer and the price you should expect to pay if you buy from a private party. in saying you should pay private party, he means you should negotiate for the private party price on kbb rather than the dealer price since it is a buyer's market right now. In fact, I'd try to do even better than that.

McKenna is asking way too much. but I think they are ready to move things - they just sold a F499, Carrera GT, and a 1970's BMW Csi. its a buyers market - make them a low ball offer and be ready to walk.

... your 05 Ag coupe M3/Blk Int w/ low miles is a sure winner for a used e46 ///M, dont settle for less. Good choice! Get it, but get it at 2k max of over what you feel they bought that for... being the seller is not a BMW dealer is on your side, a Ford dealer normally dont like holding those cars for long

Here is what I paid for my '05 ZCP M3 Coupe back in May of this year.
Mileage: 24K CPO: Yes BMW Dealer: Yes Asking: $41K (Insane, I know) Paid: $37,800 I don't think I overpaid, but I could have negotiated another $1-2K if I put more effort into the deal. |
