Roll cage in street car?
Is it a bad idea to put a roll cage in a street car?
Will it effect resale? Is it more dangerous in the event of an accident? Thanks |

A well built roll cage certainly will not make the car more dangerous in the event of a rollover, but I guess a crazy side collision could send metal flying when it otherwise wouldn't have.
As for resale, it's to each their own here. Some people love the track look for a street car, but I would say this is a much smaller group compared to a stripper, or well spec'd car. Personally, I would say it is not great for resale, and you would not recoup much of the expenses you incurred from putting it on the car. On the other hand, there always could be a buyer looking for a more track ready car . Install it if you love it. |

It's a really bad idea for a street car.
Will you and your passengers wear helmets each time you drive? In an accident, padding on the bar itself isn't as effective as wearing a helmet. |
