What is this touchless wheel mounting you speak of? You can't find it because it doesn't exist.

There is really no way to mount a tire onto wheel without touching it, but this expression means that no metal part will touch the wheel itself. Only plastic components of the machine will touch the wheels and will not scratch, ding, or dent them. Lower-profile tires have extremely stiff sidewalls, which are much harder to install. Therefore increasing the risk for tire and wheel damage. The machines also incorporate uniquely shaped components that ensure the tire doesn’t sustain damage and it is perfectly seated on the wheel.

Good to know! Pretty sure all big name shops only use machines with plastic coated components. Too many nice wheels and cars out there.

I always take mine to Goodyear and I tip the installer and remind him/her be extra careful. No issues thus far. Row fair tire did destroy one of my older PS4s on instal, but ended up buying me two new PS4s rear tires. I recommend finding a shop that does road force balancing.

As a former teenage tire changer at Goodyear, I will say nicer cars and their rims will get better attention by default so we don't get blamed for anything. However, limitations exist due to the tire changing machine used, if it looks new and has a half dozen arms coming off of it you should be good.
