160k miles, bad idea?
Hi everyone, i am currently in the market for a used m3 e92. I would primarily use this car for weekend drives, as i already have a car for my daily commute.
The current car i am looking at is an 09' e92 m3 that has 160K miles and is priced at $17,000. Is this something worth going for? I am not very familiar with all the problems these cars can have other than the rod bearing issue. What kind of problems can occur in a car with this much mileage? Any help is appreciated, thank you |

I think its too much.
At 160k miles I think $14-15k would be the ceiling. Last edited by Ab28; 03-13-2019 at 12:27 PM.. |

I have 160k miles on my car and its been very solid. It's all about the previous owner(s) and how well the car was taken car of. Be meticulous while combing over the car before purchasing, but if it was well taken care of and maintenance has been done I say go for it.
