Jeff, Matt, thanks for input. Again would be interesting if you have pulled one single set OEM that had no wear.
Also, did you had the opportunity to pull a relevant number of WPC shells, and if so what is your opinion vs OEN on wear.
You use ARP 625s (201-6001) or some other of their aloy?

Apologies for all questions, maybe missed some answers in your thread.

Cheers

Touched base with Rob down at Active when we heard about this. Great to see some good wear characteristics on a heavy workload car. 20k miles in 6 months always makes me wonder how the bearings hold up when they are driven that hard Ali's 19k mileage OEM 702/703 bearings are on the right here under the blue for reference, and from the pics look to have about about twice the wear as the WPCs. Nothing like some good data ! BE's will certainly work great for what I'm sure will be another epic build from you and Active. Maybe we can have a nice, friendly, E90 shootout this spring.... Slipstream '19 .... e90 vs e90 best 1/4, best 1/2 ? wink, wink lol

I have not seen an OEM bearing come out without any wear. We haven't pulled many WPC's out, but with those we saw significantly less wear which is very promising considering similar mileage cars showing plenty more wear. Yes the custom age ARP 625 is what we use for hardware. No problem with the questions! Any information we can provide to help the community is the goal we all have as e9x enthusiasts.

I agree @Akbubba47
Mine is also a 2013, and I'm at 41.5k miles. I'm thinking more and more of just having it done this summer.

My top pick for rod bearing service is Matt@AUTOcouture but I just need to work out the logistics as I'm about 4 hours away in Maryland.

Dude, it boils down to the same concept as insurance. Do you think your house will burn down, or car gets stolen, or you will break your leg? Probably not, but the downside is so much more costly for a long block than getting it done. Do it and you will get your sleep again. AND, if you go to sell, it's huge in terms of selling it if you keep your pictures and documentation.

Matt - I should have had you guys do the power steering flush too. I forgot all about that fluid. Guess I'll be doing some homework here on the forum.
