Going to load up the regular stage 2.
Oem axle back and full xpipe.

The burbles I can hear past 6500 rpm.
The loud pop on decel 4th gear around 2000 rpm is insane. Laughable because I'm just cruising in traffic.
I wish I knew at which rpm it would makes those loud pops . It's pretty unpredictable.
From my experience, its depending on how much throttle you give before you let off. About 30% or more drops gun shots.

Could be driving style.... I went from 16.7 mpg up to 18.5 on the non burble tune, and then back down to 17.2 on the map i'm on now (Flame tune)

You can thank @HolyChitMeng he emailed me at least 50 times until I finally gave in. He ran many many test maps for many days until drivability was smooth.
Alex what kind of power increase (hp/tq) could I expect from a stage 2 tune with test pipes? Cost? Thanks

those who have done the engine tune remotely
how involved is it?
all you need is a windows laptop and the cable?
no need for a battery tender or something?

For the first initial flash, you'll need to create a backup of your current file, which takes 30 minutes or so. You'll need a battery tender or charger for that. But after that initial process is done as long as you use the car regularly you'll be fine with no tender

It is not necessary to back up the original data but if you really want to and you do not have a battery charger you can back it up with the motor running (never attempt to program/write with the motor running.)

If no one has already done so. I have to make a trip to WA to TX. I will be going through San Diego. I will document my journey. Gas mileage, codes that comes up if any, tune I used.
I am catless, on 93 octane file, stock limiter, DCT tuned, rod bearings done 150 miles ago. I’ll change my octane file tune to 91 once I get to NorCal. (Do I need too?) No. I’ve done that journey with 93 the whole time for about 1k miles I think, no issues. And change my files accordingly per octane.

Couldn't get a reply from Alex.

If I change out my catless X pipe to an x pipe with HFC. Would I still be able to keep the stage 2 tune?

Did a 350 mile drive this weekend, no red lining, probably went up 6k but no hiccups at all, no codes. Maintained 3k RPM level throughout. Car hasn't acted any different since RB job. 22-24 MPG, 70-80 mph.

Just ordered for my e90 08 m3! (Stock other than Axleback exhaust, dropin filter) Ill be also doing a 180f thermostat + change to 5w50 instead of 10w60. I dont think it interferes with the tune but anyone running this oil+coolant thermostat setup with Alex’s tune?

Get upgraded cooling if you plan on using that thermostat.

Is anyone having trouble reaching out to Alex as well? He responded twice in 10 days with the last message being a week ago. I'm not sure if he is on vacation or something. I've been trying to get my car detune from stage 2 to stock or stage 1 to pass smog.

I've answered loads of emails. To go back to stock just open AMS, and Program ECU Memory select the flash first file. Instructions are included with your tune.

I bought the GTS Tune from the group buy. I installed everything on my computer, have the cable and am ready to go. In the instructions, Alex says once you get to this point to "Contact Me" to complete the tuning.

How? Email? Through the forum? Text message? There are no clear instructions on how to contact him to schedule the Tune. I was able to find his email on his website, but it wasn't in the instructions I received with the tuning cable/software - or at least I didn't see it (might have missed it somewhere).

(I emailed him and messaged him through the board and got no response).

Alex - I know you are busy and know you offer a great product/service as evidenced by all the positive feedback, but I think there is room for improvement here from a user experience / customer service perspective.
