I used to go to church with one of the owner's - Bob. I'd call him ahead and schedule it. I have a dedicated track car, so I usually just drop it off and let them work it in as time allows. |

i thought i saw somewhere that new cars with less than xxx miles are exempt. to which HPDE groups does this apply, and what are the criteria. for people that use places like Benson's, is it valid for the whole season.

My car is a 2008, and when I brought it to the attention of the BMW cca event coordinator, they especially asked for an ase certified mechanic. Under the Driver's edge, if the car has less than 10k, the owner can do the inspection.

Not sure! Last time I was there, they had open track, and didn't see anyone turning in a tech sheet. Now if you go with the drivers edge, you can do your own inspection. I will be going back to TWS in May with DE.

For PDS at TWS, they'll accept self tech.
For TDE, you only need ASE certified tech every 6 months. You can self tech in between. |
