2005 CTSv to M3

Thought I would make a few Motor Trend'esque points about differences btw cars as I switched from '05 CTSv to e90 M3....and say hi to the forum.

CTSv was american power, not the most precise throttle input...but precise in terms of rear end drift and steering. Interiors and exteriors hold up very well...and the Ls6 motor + T56 tranny are pretty solid. Great car with a short shift kit and hard motor mounts.

E90 m3 is extremely precise in term of steering and throttle input. V8 needs to be at 2k-2500 to really be lively....crazy kind of car though. The v8 will get you to 120 on a track real quick...but does not kick you. Smooth power delivery like everyone says, but the engine is so much quicker to rev and unrev than the V was. M3 is great at 10-40mph turns...around town driving....as long as you are in 2nd or 3rd gear. Car design is tight, and short...but has room for 4...great car w/o the ugly nav bump in the dash. This car lacks the adjustable susp/steering. Some people complain that the v8 is not good for around town driving...i think they need to speed up and stay in lower gears. Drive the car or go buy a 335i..maybe

Congrats! My last car was LS powered and you really do have to change how you drive. I love high RPM so I don't miss it at all.

This car is such an amazing piece of engineering. I have had an e34, e46 and e39, but never an M.

I need to drive an e46 m3 to compare to.
