I'm trying to decide if I should do it on the car I am buying with 35k miles

We will see what the oil analysis says

This is what I did to my M3 today. Decided to research the effective range of PDC to the side of the car. Guess what? Not that far.

Made a total dumbass move backing up at a gas station, right into a giant concrete column. The column won. At least I'll get the shitty paint on the bumper from a previous owner taken care of. So pissed at myself.

Should we start a pool for guessing what the estimate will be? I think we should. If you come closest to the actual, final cost to repair I'll make you a photo app for your smartphone with images of your M3. Repairs will be done at a certified BMW collision center that does high-end work. (I'm a photographer; these are very cool apps.)

(Moderators should feel free to yell at me of this breaks some kind of forum rule or protocol.)

I had almost similar work done to mine a few months ago minus the taillight, someone swiped me while driving. They pulled the rear quarter a LITTLE bit, painted the rear quarter, and the corner of the bumper and blended it. They did a great job you can’t even tell so I’m sure your shop should be able to get yours back to normal. I believe the repair cost was about 1700. If you’re paying out of pocket you might want to skip the taillight at the body shop, source it and replace it yourself

The board in the pic is big: 6'8" and fits perfectly!

I have the e92 roof racks for when i go with friends and need more interior space. Pretty sure that there are no roof racks available for the F80 M3/4....another of the many reasons e92s are better

took the m3 out to angeles crest highway ... and gave it a flat tire

was pretty far up the mountain
driving through an area that had some lighted and shaded parts alternating
ran over a huge piece of rock (looked like a broken piece of a curb or road)
and the tire blew out

thankfully it was on a straight part of the road and i wasn't in danger of losing traction and crashing into the mountain or flying off the cliff
i stopped right away and there was minimal damage to the wheel

had another friend behind me who saw the tire blow out and stopped
and other friends noticed i wasn't following and came back
ZERO cell reception up in the mountain so it could have really sucked if i was stuck out there alone

went to glendale to my storage unit to grab my old wheels + spare tire
stopped by Sears and bought a floor jack and some tools
drove back up the mountain and did some roadside wheel swapping

drove down ACH with reverse rake setup lol

tire shop said the wheel is fine so mounted my spare tire back on the 513m
balanced and mounted and back on the road

Ok, technically this did not all happen in one day...more like three days but just wanted to share

Installed Bimmerworld pedals

Installed red push start button and tried out a wrinkle finish on the bezel

Machined and installed a Delrin high rise shift knob for fun. Definitely would benefit from a short shift kit

Finally pulled the trigger on a replacement to the really terrible exhaust that came with the car

Replaced the tattered felt undertray with an aluminum one from deansbimmer. Outer profile fitment is top notch! Some custom fitting required to get a the fender liners perfect.

What are your wheels specs and suspension setup, that looks perfect. Exact drop I was looking for. Also where did you pick up the skirts those look great.

The wheels are OEM 359M wheels, I have a 15mm spacer in the rear and a 12.5mm in the front. Suspension is JRZ RS1's with hyperco springs.

The skirts are from AM Motorsports. https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1506774

And thanks!
