So I just started my interior redo. Just got my LeatherZ shift and brake boot in alcantara w/LSB stitch. The quality is dead on perfect if you don't mind the extra $.
Currently in the process of extending the Alcantara/Laguna Seca Blue theme also w/black Napa leather through the rest of the interior too. New car smell soon FYI my short shifter sits lower than stock and the shift boot is cut to stock. The shift boot therefore needed more room to sag so I cut out a ton of the foam sound insulation around the base. And my shifts are more audible now. Don't do this if you don't want to hear this. If you do it's a quick cheap mod, if u weren't aware of it

Gloss black vinyl roof next. If that thing doesn't look really good it's coming right off. That carbon roof eludes me still so the wrap is kind of experimental. Wish there was a super clean less than $5k solution here

^ I hear ya. I've been looking at Lang Racing's CF roof
http://store.langracing.com/bmw-e90-...ceted_search=0 The price of the roof isn't the concern, it's the installation and sourcing the OEM headliner for the E90 sans moonroof.

Do u know the total weight savings including sunroof delete? I just can't justify it purely on aesthetic terms when I can get a new interior for less.

According to this thread
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...ht=Lang+racing The Full Steel skin (non-moonroof) is 24lbs. The skin with moonroof should be 50-60lbs (moonroof itself is about 30 lbs.) The LR CF roof is 7lbs. For the sake of argument lets say it's about 45lbs. of saving for cars with the moonroof.

I wish I took pics of my e90, but I went from a gloss black vinyl roof back to the stock white because the vinyl was falling apart. I was going to get it re-vinyled, but now I'm not so sure.
I too wish for the cf roof as I never use my sun roof. |

So I've seen a ton of bad vinyl wraps so was very skeptical but it came out really well.
The vinyl was applied wet and still needs to dry so there's a few small bubbles that should disappear. But otherwise it passes as paint until you get literally within a foot, to where you can see the grain in the material. The color matches the shadow line trim very well and covers the roof rack mounts very cleanly. I think I just delayed wasting too much money in a carbon roof. I like my vinyl for now. We'll see how it holds up against the elements but I'm going for another Ceramic Pro session next weekend so that will improves.

Interior is complete. Front Recaro seats, rear seats & headrests, all door panels, and center console reupholstered in black Napa leather and black Alcantara. Iphone pics just don't do it justice. Prob more to follow such as dash, headliner, etc etc I love this stuff.

Whoa, this is turning out to be my fav E90 M3. Great job on the interior, and that vinyl roof looks great all shiny. Mine was about 4 years old, and was dull, so you've motivated me to do the roof black again.
