Remote Resi - nitrogen rig list/guide
Hey guys and gals, I hadn't seen really anyone put together a list for a nitrogen rig kit. There's a couple of really nice ones out there but they are over 6-700 bucks . Here is a list of what I have purchased, and should be great for a hobbyist, i don't see me needing more than a 5lb on a track weekend if I do...I'm in trouble. This tank is only 18x5". I also prefer aluminum as they are much lighter than steel tanks.
You should be able to get this tank filled by a local welding supply for about $20-30. Some suppliers are swap out only, so make sure they do filling at the place you go to. Don't want them snagging your fancy new aluminum tank. 5LB 20CF tank: https://www.ebay.com/itm/5lb-20cf-Al...eede%7Ciid%3A1 Nitrogen regulator: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 60" hose: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 No loss shock fill tool (couple ones you can use here): https://www.ebay.com/itm/15399584432...4aAtQSEALw_wcB https://www.bimmerworld.com/Suspensi...caAnQdEALw_wcB

Whatever you get, just make sure it has a convenient button for bleeding air out of the line. Once I hook everything up, I like to make sure I bleed all the ambient/humid/crappy air out of the line with nitrogen before I open up the canister.

Sure, this is basically for adjusting pressure for remote canister shocks. This isn't something you plumb in, but rather carry to the track with you to adjust pressures. The regulator screws into the tank

Make sure the tank setup you select has a cage around the top of it, so if it dumps over you don't snap the neck and create a missile

i have a powertank that i used for offroading, but we use c02 to fill the tires. its about ten years old and the last few times i've had it filled they try to tell me the tank is expired and it might leak (it doesn't). i could probably use the same tank and regulator, and just buy the longacre inflator.
if my tank has a regulator, does it need a specific regulator for nitrogen? also, how often are you guys checking and changing the pressure of your shocks?
