So this is a proper S62 race engine. I would have to look up the details but honestly I wouldn't share that information anyway. 😃. Basically it is legal and hopefully (don't know yet) will put us within the power range for GT2 class cars. This will be mated to a Holinger six speed sequential. In addition there is the new AP Racing radical Essex BBK, new front sway bar, AIM smarty cam and I almost forgot the new engine wiring harness that is very impressive with an even more impressive price/cost 😢
*I skipped ahead but there is two years of story that I haven't shared from my original build thread. One successful year of racing with the old junkyard engine and one year of Covid and waiting for this engine (not happy about that). |

Who's the engine builder? Curious to hear who people are using. I'm looking to build a S54 race engine coming up.

There are only a few that I would trust building a S62 and I'm not sure anyone would want to go through what I did to get this engine. Engine builders can be difficult. I think you'll have better luck with someone building a S54. Send me a pm and we can talk offline.

This is basically true. It is all the details of those items that make the difference plus i am sure there are a few things he does that he doesn't share with anyone.

AP Racing
The new AP Racing BBK is mocked up. 355mm rotors are Max diameter for GT2. However you can run up to 380mm with a 100lb weight penalty. I'm hoping 335mm with these custom brake ducts are sufficient.

End links look so small vs that arm and bar.
Fun build!
