First "real" drive since I installed ZCP struts/Dinan springs and got it aligned. All I can say is wow! The car is so much more composed and confidence inspiring now. It's exactly what I was looking for even though the ride height in the front is a little higher than my previous EDC/Eibach setup. Now I've got a complete faux-ZCP

^ Fantastic setup and great shots. Curious to see more pictures, as it looks like the front is a tad higher than stock ZCP. How do the Dinan springs feel/look compared to your momís ZCP?

I just measured from the bottom of the rim to the highest point on the front fender and I'm a hair under 613mm which is spot on with OEM ZCP spec. Dinan says 1/2" lower on a non-ZCP which should get me about 3mm lower than ZCP, but 3mm is a pretty minimal difference either way. Maybe they'll settle a little bit more.

Regardless of the drop, or lack thereof, I love the feel. I wouldn't say it's night and day compared to OEM ZCP but maybe 10% better. If I had to guess I'd say most of the improvement comes from slightly higher spring rates than OEM ZCP. I'm not sure what the actual spring rates are between the two, but the Dinan springs feel stiffer. Not stiff enough to be harsh, but stiff enough to provide some additional response. I also appreciate that my car handles mid-corner bumps better than OEM ZCP. I attribute that to the shaved top mounts/bumpstops and I also added the Dinan rear upper shock mount kit for more travel. To me the overall feel with the Dinan springs is a bit more confidence inspiring than OEM ZCP.

Probably the last pictures with the gunmetal OE ZCPs. I'm a terrible photographer so the lighting is never flattering, but I really like these in person (especially with 10/5 spacers and 255/275 tires).

Thanks again. FYI for the rest, BMWPartsLink came in the cheapest at ~$2350 all-in.

* Just kidding. They emailed me after the order was confirmed and said they canceled the order (odd the confirmation went to my inbox but the notice of cancelation was in my junk folder, lucky I saw that). They said that shipping would actually be an additional ~$160 more than what their checkout system quoted ($80, for a total shipping charge of ~$240 from OR to CA). They told me to reorder if I wanted them still (with no instruction on how to pay the additional amount, or any willingness to price match) and that they won't know the actual shipping cost until they are in hand and ready to be sent out (so, not stocked?). In short, a stupid system with awful communication, so F* them!

Lol. Thanks!! I swear it feels good to know I'm not crazy. I wanted red, blue, jet black, Jerez black, space gray, then white at one point. I always knew I never wanted Silverstone and finally was settled on red. I was determined to wait for the right low mileage red E90 or E92.

Welp one day I drove by a Chevy dealer that had this outside on the lot in the bright sun it stood out like a sore thumb, in the best way. I think it was the first time I saw Silverstone with ZCP and I was a goner. I do absolutely love this color after owning it the last year, especially since this color was never on my radar!

Solid choice! Silverstone is classic. I've always loved German sports cars and sedans in silver.
