This build is excellent! And fuck UPS/FedEx/USPS. Glad you were able to come out ahead but the emotional toll on you probably isn't worth it. The high's of winning the kit to the disappointment of it's condition to fighting with UPS and so on. I get it. In the last 3 months I've had multiple missing/miss delivered packages from the big 3 including a $400 cooler delivered to the wrong house that was never recovered.
Can't wait to see this thing complete!

Car is in for Rod bearings today! Went BE and BE bolts. Really interested to see the shape of the 78k mile 08 bearings coming out. 4,200 mile oil Analysis showed 2 copper and 3 lead on Blackstone report. Not terrible but who knows how much leads and cooler came off in previous cycles.

Oh, that's gonna be interesting!

Interesting for you & all of us to see how the condition of the old bearings actually is.

Interesting for you afterwards, once you can really enjoy the full potential of the S65 again :P

I also ran Vorsteiner VFF-101s for a week, went back to the square ZCP set because I liked the look more.

It's so hard to put an actual number on everything. Donor helped off set some costs. And N52 e91 parts also helped. I'd say I'm in 40k including purchase price of e91 and donor minus parts sold.

Bearings weren't very bad at all. Through the Babbitt, nonetheless, feels great to have them changed!

Off to get my hood painted this morning. Full paint correction with wet sanding as soon as the hood out gasses. Might do clear bra on front bumper and hood after correction.

Knowing I've got the matte black OEM like GTS lip I'm having a hard time decided what diffuser to run.

I've got a lead on a used challenge diffuser which I know looks good, but I've also been looking at the hamann style e90 diffuser, JL Motoring E90 GTS diffuser or considered just throwing on a fancywide (they've really started growing on me)

What do you guys think? Which way should I go with the wagon and non carbon front lip?

I was going to install the roof speakers today but after pulling out the 10,000 pieces in order the drop the headliner I realize the moon roof cassette is blocking the holes for the speaker brackets to mount to. Need to think this through to get them installed. Might just find a location close and throw some self tapers through to secure. I did hook them up and wow, they are going to provide so much to the overall sound, can't wait!

Just take the moonroof cassette off too. DO IT RIGHT

Also, my vote is for Challenge/RKP rear diffuser, it reminds me of CSL.
