True. Which is why I prefer to keep the OEM driver seat and hopefully find a harness setup that works.

That's all true slicer...
But it's not a DD either. With the other mods it's mostly a show car.

anxious to see the outcome of this setup. If it's subtle and oem-looking enough I might be mirroring your setup.

What was the outcome on this? Been wanting similar seats but puzzled on the seatbelt. I think a harness bar would look hideous when top down

FYI, harness bar won't work/fit in a e93......

Not quite done (still). lots of other things being done too.

Curious if there’s any new methods of installing Recaros in the e93 m3 without having to resort to installing a roll bar or rear seat delete? This thread is kinda old lol.

Setup works fine.
Drive it all the time. Not my DD but weekend warrior.
And while snug I can reach out and adjust AC. And cup hold no problem. No roll bar needed or rear seat delete needed although can't use rear seats. A rear seat delete for cosmetic purpose is in the near future though.

Those look like Schroth Quick Fit harnesses. They use the rear seat buckles.

StudioRSR makes an e93 bolt in half cage and from the photos.. it looks like rear seats don't have to come out.. I'm not sure if it's something you would want if it's a DD but I've looked into the same thing with my e93

I was thinking of a custom roll bar more along the lines of this:

This looks more streamline and less obtrusive. Cleaner. Although the photo is of a previous generation M3 and it's a harness bar I'd have a permanent "roll" bar installed instead. As I've said earlier in the post the e93 has it's own roll over protection setup so it's primary function would be a harness bar. With a rear seat delete I think it would looks pretty good.
