Help Fixing Trim

The trim in the back seat fell off, and all of the plastic retainers disintegrated. I ordered new parts, but they don't seem to push back in place with a strong push from hands. Any recommendation for how to get the retainers in?

It looks like an issue with the Rexka restraining clips sold on Amazon. I see a comment from another 2011 M3 owner with the same problem. I am going to buy OE from a German parts supplier.

I remember I had the same issue. I bought the clip directly from bmw and they didn’t fit. I compared them to my old ones and I found that they were different.
I’m not exactly sure but I *think* this is the one you’re looking for.

Thank you for the guidance. I went ahead and ordered OE versions of the 07149158194 and if they are still too big I'll hunt down that other part number and will also post here to help others. Cheers!

Excellent. I ordered 20 OE ones and tracking says I should have them on Monday. I'll report back. The OE ones were a fair bit less than the BMW parts, but should be the same part. Once I confirm they work I'll provide a link in a PM.

The clips came in a few days early. They were pretty stiff in the early morning 45 F weather and wouldn't go in, but once it warmed up they popped in.
