F8x M brakes (Help)

I know someone has done this or tried this but is there a write up how to install F8x M brakes onto our car E9X M3. Or selling the bracket? I have searched the forum and didn't exactly find what I am looking for.

If so can you please post the link so I can see how to install these or what I will need to install these.

Thank you

You must suck at searching. There's a huge thread answering your questions in the appropriate subforum.

Wow, You spent time telling me this and not helping me at all. I have read over ten different threads on the topic but the only one that comes close to installing this is to change out front spindles. I am looking for more information. As in do the performance increase or are they just the same as our current brake setup. Anyway thanks for all the help. Not!!

Your OP asked for install information. There is a thread on that and sounds like you've already read it.

performance question... that is a different topic. I don't think I've seen anything really on performance. I'd expect better stopping power but not a "blow your mind" difference. The f8x calipers are a better design but the rotors will still be the weak link.

Are you looking for a budget entry level BBK of sorts?

Try searching in the right section, it is only a few from the top:

https://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1375975

You'll have to do some digging in that thread all the info is there, i'm not going to spoon feed you anymore than this.

When I go to cars and coffee the BMW guys ask me why I don't park next to them.

My short answer: BMW guys are dicks.

The reply's in so many of these threads prove my point more often than not.

BMW owners are not dicks, they just dont have tolerance for lazy/dumb people as most of us work hard to afford these cars.

Calling the OP lazy and dumb. Is this place for real?

Instead of the people above spreading their miserableness, why not just keep your mouth shut?

I didnt call the OP anything, i was just making an observation. You are the one who directed that at the OP.

No worries, 23 years in the military and I have pretty thick skin. Thanks for giving me some more input. I just left the topic pretty vague and open because someone who might have these installed may want to elaborate further than someone who read a few threads and even might point me to a link that they may have found useful.

But yes I am just looking for an entry-level BBK. I used to autocross my car but no longer. So there is really no need other than for appearance.

Thanks again

Here's an ecs link which has a BOM with pictures of the individual components.
It's NLA here but atleast it shows you what you need. I'm sure some of it is still available.

Just buy the freaky parts 4 piston brembo kit for your stock calipers. Cheap, looks good. If you want 6 pistons, buy the slonik kit. You’ll have to convince someone else to give you links to those kits.

Thanks, I have talked with a dealer and have an account with Freaky Parts.
I just haven't pulled the trigger yet, still debating on which brake kit route I will take.

Thank you.

You could also wait for a used set of Stoptech or AP to come up for sale. Would cost more but might be better.
