Inquiry - so who sells the cheapest Stop Tech BBKs?
I am in a spot where my Carmax warranty runs out in exactly a year or XXXX months, so basically a year based on my driving mileage. If I keep it I need a brake job and am going to splurge for a BBK from StopTech, if I don't keep it, this post is pointless. The way I see it is. Spent $1000+ on maintenance good stuff or spend $2000+ on some StopTech BBK front and worry about another $2000+ rears later. Any suggestions on where to buy? I see so many sites where with a generic search it is like a $1000-1500 kit, but then when you select E9X M3 it becomes a $2000-2500 kit. |

I'm not sure where you're already at with the weight loss. Did you remove rear seats? I know your dogs ride with you so not sure if you're able to do that. I think I'm back at a healthy 3500 minimum now lol. I should weigh again out of curiosity.

That’s going to hurt the imaging and top end on “the wheels on the bus”.

Maybe I'll swap the M3 stereo into the van so I don't feel like I'm losing it.

Might be worth building a rear seat delete panel.
Or buying one, but what's the fun in that.

Ok guys, 18x10.5 ET22 (borrowed wheels) and 295/30/18 AR-1 are ready to roll now.. aligned the car with them on and it seems like they'll work.
Will find out for sure with 2 days at thunderhill the upcoming weekend! |

@Bartledoo aligned by a friend, who owns/runs a shop, and runs 1:37.8 at Laguna in his S2000, so I trusted him to set whatever. Just shared that I liked -3.5 front camber and -2.0 rear camber. He reduced my toe-in from previous alignments of just the tip of toe-in to right on 0" and kept a bit of rear toe-in.
This time around, my alignment wasn't as messed up as I expected! Ran the car through 2 days at Thunderhill East and 1 day at Laguna, with a bunch of curb usage |

Hmm I have noticed some cars have different caster pretty much as a direct result of the top plate. Are yours JRZs?
I've noticed since going to a Bilstein top plate I've lost about 1deg where Mvez's thread has no actual caster just said "it's same as stock" Vorshlags on middle setting (other settings are useless due to it's impact on camber) were still only around 6deg each total. ~Might be a 1M thing.~ Nope, stock they have 7deg. CAD'ing up a new top plate to get to -4 without hella flushing the car and possibly adding caster holes. Inverted damper FTW.

Got everything for my first (of the year) track weekend and a lapping day booked for June. Now I just need to find May and July events.
