HPDEs or any other track events for a beginner.
Im looking for something where I can go my own pace and really feel out the limits of my car, while really learning how to take proper lines. It would be my first time at the track so it would have to be suited for a beginner. Thanks in advance.

i second NJMP the suggestion, good learning track for beginners with plenty of runoffs.
i went to palmer for my first track day it was a little too technical / overwhelming for a beginner. at limerock there are also car control clinics that run on the autocross track and skidpad which is also good for beginners. |

You can signup for LIMEROCK Park. It’s closer than NJ and I can even be your instructor for that specific track/event |

even if you don't feel like you are ready to go, find out when there is an event going on and go (if the track isn't like two hours away or something). try to make it to the driver's meeting to get a feel for how they operate. then just watch and observe people and how the day goes.
some tracks are about $10 to enter (check on this) and you'll feel less overwhelmed if that is what is holding you back.
