Well I think majority ppl here in big cities like Shanghai and Beijing realized that Mcdonald's and Pizzahut are American junk food.
I was grown up in Australia and come back and work in Shanghai for 5yrs, I found there are lot of oppotunities to make some money and easily afford a Bimmer or Merc, not like the old days.

Porsche sold 8371 cars in China in Yr 2008, and they still believe this number can be doubled in 2009, the yr of the world financial crisis.
I couldnt understand why they are some many reach ppl here.

Why didn't I know of stuff like this when I was in ShangHai?!??!

also, it's easy to pick up a chick in a M3 anywhere :P
But then, why would you want to pick up a chick just because she likes your car?
You need to get her without her knowing you have a BMW; when she finds out later, it'll just be an added bonus; you wouldn't want gold diggers now would you? lol.

I'm from Brazil. Last time I was there I just wondered inside a Luxury car dealership with ferraris, lambos, GT2s and M5s. The cheapest one was the M5 selling 879,000 in Brazilian money. To give you perspective, 1 U.S. dollar is about 2 Reais, which is the brazilian currency. The Ferrari, which was just a 360 Modena, was just over 2 mil.

triple of what you pay here and that too in USD is what a bimmer (any bimmer) costs in China, India etc....obviously its as much as Ferraris and lambos here...and status wise that applies too....so yes, rick people (truely rich people) can buy those cars in those countries...the kind of rich people who can buy and drive ferraris and lambos if they lived here...you get my point, dont you?

some (not all) M3 drivers here haggle over $100...the ones above are not one of those ....

Roughly what they cost here in Taiwan. Are they only being sold through BMW in Shanghai or are imports now allowed into Shanghai or other parts of China? I'm wondering what the exact tax rate is for those cars now in China..

160,000USD for a E92 M3... holy crap

All the M3s need some nice wheels. Surprisingly, they all have 18s and not one has the 19s. haha

As your said, the ppls in your country would like white interior??? That's much funny!

In China, people like E90 E92 M-type Z4 etc. with red exterior. And most of other BMW model's exterior in china is very bright-color.
