I am surprised but also not at the same time given what is going on. I think there is a lot of anxiety in the market right now.

This example is also in a difficult spot in that it is in the upper end of the price spectrum during a financial crisis competing against other M3s that can be had for much less. You can realistically get a half way decent M3 for $25k nowadays but it will have miles, will have been passed around 3 or 4 times, perhaps been in an accident or two, have some paint work, and will likely be white, black, or silver and come with a DCT.

This example is more suited for someone looking for a cream puff with a fully documented service history since day 1, low miles, a rarer color, and, of course, a 6MT and is willing to pay for those points, as I was when I purchased it. Not everyone cares about that criteria and, if you are one of those people, there are much cheaper examples out there so I understand.

This car needs the right buyer and I may have to wait a bit for that person to pop up. I know they do exist, as I was that buyer one year ago.

Since I have been looking at E90 in the $25k-$30k range, I can confirm it's tough sledding to find a 1 owner no accident car, but a few "fully decent" options have emerged.

There have been two cars in excellent shape with no accidents in the Carfax (of course it could still have body/paint work done just not reported/showing on Carfax) for $25k or less that I either couldn't pull the trigger (2009 E90, DCT, Grey, 63k miles, RB/TA done) or was too late to get in line (2011 E90, 6MT, Red, 57k miles)

Your car is in ridiculously great condition with a sought after color and specs, and as you mentioned, you can wait for the right buyer with a delay based on how long this pandemic prevents your future buyer from selecting your car ... hopefully not too much longer, and GLWS!

Funny you say that Michael, I have been communicating with them and ran into the same issue. Having said that, a 39k mile space grey zcp coupe just went for $40,250 yesterday. Very interesting. And it was DCT with some paintwork no less.

Yea I saw that auction too.

Seemed like very strong money...I mean the car was nice and presented well but for $42,262 after the buyers premium it seemed like a lot.

Using that as a barometer your car is worth every penny of the asking price.
