There are many spring rates available--if BMW were to engineer them to go with the shocks chances are it would be a more compatible system. Plus, it would be waranteed.

I know a few guys who had big problems on their M5 with EDC and Dinan springs, but yeah at least they are covered with the warranty.

I think it would be wise to wait to hear from owners with aftermarket springs to report back after six months to a year. My two friends with M5 both put on springs at the same time and both had EDC shock failures in 6 to 7 months.

As much as I would love to drop the car a little, blowing the shocks scares me quite a bit. I don't want to have to find out how much EDC shocks cost. Any new news on the Dinan springs? ET?

I thought they were just running with 20" aggressive offset on their cars without spacers

Yup, that's the main reason I want to wait.

Does most of the springs blows out 6-7 months time even though you run like normal street use? I mean if you track everyday and loaded your car like crazy every corner...then I will say it can...

But i mean, I'm also looking to change the springs to fit with EDC but if it ends up dropping like a Merc S class when the damper control failed (which i saw couple of them did that couple months ago)...even though it sits in the garage, in & out during weekends...

It will scare the hell out of me....busting the EDC can cost me huge $$$..especially in Hong Kong...

Im going to wait 6-12 months from now to see how other member's cars are.

It really depends on the roads and how you drive IMO. The roads around my area and NYC are horrible.

I've had H&R in mine for a couple months and 1700 miles and so far everything has been great (knock on wood)... I've heard mostly good stories from those who did it to their M5 & M6, but there are always a few bad ones as well... we'll see... It definitely looks good!
