I also have a ton of laps out there. At speed and a million lead-follow low speed looks at the track thanks to Covid. So does sc_tr0jan_m3 since he's a member. What would you like to know? (PS they've continued to add more curbing than what's even in these recent videos) Here's a fast lap from a well prepped aero and 305 slicks TT3 e92: And my street-ish TT3-lite no aero lap on 265 Prielli DH (2:05 PB of mine never got on video lol) :

That's pretty much what I'm looking for - appreciate it! Like to see some different perspectives like that & just try to get a good visual of the track. Looking like I will be able to sneak up there for NASA on Dec 3-5. Would definitely bring my not very optimized for TT3 M2C (read currently stock street car ). Not sure if we would bring the M3 & race - didn't expect to be able to race until next year so we had started to break it down to repaint the interior. The track does look like a lot of fun to drive. Thanks!

I'll be doing comp school/racing a SM and also running the FRS in a couple of TT sessions for end-of-season points though it will probably mostly be sitting in paddock during the weekend.

Awesome! New comp school & TT entrants - great to see.
Is the paddock pretty open? Any rec on where to stage at? Likely would have a decent size footprint. SC_trojan_m3 - (for some reason won't let me do that @ thing) - going to take a lot of years of property tax to make up the difference of 5x the value of the same house... but yeah that hit does really suck doesn't it How does Eagle Canyon operate? If for some chance we can make it up Thursday do they allow people to run on an entry fee or anything like that?

Paddock has greatly expanded. If you are pulling a trailer you cannot use the upper paddock, so stick to the lower paddock -- plenty of space. AMCM usually takes the far end of the lower paddock. They typically allow load-in starting at about 3pm on Thursday (Friday is test-and-tune), so if you have a large trailer I suggest you get there right when they open. If you wanted to run Thursday, you'd have to go out with a member, I guess.

The only time it blows is looking at rentals over there. I'm still over here getting f'd in Cali and Texas is skimming the cream via property taxes. Kills the deals sometimes. I still wish I would have bought in a couple places before it blew up around Austin.

Rain tire question:
I recently acquired a couple of sets of closeout RE71 tires as I couldn't get nittos when I needed them. Going to PittRace this weekend (for the first time) and the forecast is all rain. I usually use my MPS4 as my rain tire, but am wondering if the RE71 stickers would be better or worse... Opinions? |

If it's the former, I'd use the Michelin. If it's the later, I'd use the Bridgestone and just make sure you get enough heat in them. My fear with the Bridgestone in heavy rain is they don't have the voids or siping to quickly evacuate water and you will just hydroplane everywhere. My fear with the Michelin in damp conditions is they will get quite hot and you'll chunk them/generate a lot of excess wear.

Thank you. Kind of what I figured. I am one of the few that actually love running in the rain (had my best finishes racing fford many years ago). I am also one that tries to make sure my students learn to track in the rain. Biggest reason for questioning is being new to RE71. Already switching to rain brakes for the weekend either way

Excited to give this new track in Missouri a go. They're having a somewhat public track day next week, should be fully functioning next year.
