Angel eyes...condensation?

Hi everyone...

Quick question...new M3 is on order...I am lining up the mods of course!

But regarding the LUX H8 or any angel eyes mod...it there an increased risk of introducing condensation into the headlight compartment when changing out?

Reason I ask is I had a local body shop guy tell me he has seen some cars come in with condensation secondary to people changing out stuff in the light compartment(s)...He couldn't specifically say it was secondary to the LUX or any particular mod...just a general statement...

Thanks for your input...

The only angel eyes that are prone to this are the Alpine/any HID kit.

It has to do with how well of a seal the aftermarket kit provides, and whether user turned the bulb's base back to original position.

EAS recommends carefully using pliers to turn and tighten their lightsource (bulb)'s base for their Ibright lights.

Lights should be here tomorrow or thursday! I'll be fitting them straight away so i'll post back how i get on. I've heard they are a tight fit....just how i like it haha

You don't have to tell me about cars being addictive, i'm 23 and have a growing number of 7 already. I've got a fully kitted out garage with a two-post 4 ton ramp so not a single one is stock. The M3 is so far the most powerful and definitely most expensive..bloody UK prices!

Ive had Alpine HIDs on my car for years and never had any problem with water or condensation getting in the headlights..

That being said, as soon as I can get my ass around to taking my headlights out, they will be off to get LED rings installed.

Not saying that it's for sure. I had the Alpine for a while too with zero issues. However, this type are the ones that CAN promote condensation since you have wires going from inside the light housing to outside the housing where water can possibly penetrate.

Yeah, no reason you should. Any that seal like stock wouldn't have issues.
