The good news first. Our shipment of Carbon Fibre from Toray Japan is finally on the boat over to our facility, and should be arriving in a couple weeks time. We can then start testing/developing the tubes (finally!).

The bad news. We still need to test/develop the tubes, so still don't have an ETA yet.

However, as we do have our flanges in stock, it's really just the tubes that we are waiting on to complete. I just hope that not too many people decided not to wait for us (and I can't blame them) and went and purchased the DSS or VAC driveshafts instead.

As soon as I have more details, you guys will be the first to know
Michael, Stan here, same goes for the E46 tubes as well?

MFactory/YCW did the flanges, another company supplied the CF tubes. There was a legal dispute with the tube supplier as they started taking YCW flanges and selling their own driveshafts, so YCW cut ties with them. When YCW start to produce their own tubes then the driveshaft will be completely built in-house.

Mine still good with 30~40trackdays. Very~little faster the response of acceleration, and little more shifting shock. but, there was no improvement of laptime

Funny you mentioned transmission shock. I got into an argument with my friend about it. His is 08 and when i redline it, it feel much faster than my 11. He has almost no shock when changing gears, very smooth. Mine does not feel as quick but mine gaps him by a couple of bodies because i have an exhaust. But mine has very distinct shock to the drivetrain coming from the rear kind of when changing gears.

We've started testing, however, we were unhappy with the weave where the joint connects to the tube, so we are redesigning for more strength/durability

Hmmm. Should current owners be concerned? If so, would there be any sort of rebate option for current owners to exchange an existing shaft for the re-designed one?

Current owners have the previous design.

The one we are testing now is a completely revised design to help minimise flange/tube separation under high torque. This is extremely common with CF driveshafts, whether aftermarket or oem (infact, I believe BMW just had a recall on their M4's. And MB had a recall on their AMG's as well)

If a new design was needed, does this mean there was an issue with the previous design?
